On September 19, the ancient walls of Plovdi
v’s Ancient Theatre will become the setting for one of the most ambitious live performances in Septicflesh’s history.
For Ancient Whispers, the Greek extreme metal band will join forces with the Orchestra and Choir of the Plovdiv Opera, bringing their distinctive blend of extreme metal and symphonic music into one of Bulgaria’s most iconic historical venues. The result promises a performance where the scale and darkness of Septicflesh’s music meet the depth and dramatic character of a full orchestral production.
The event is also drawing an exceptionally international audience, with fans travelling to Plovdiv from 46 countries to experience the performance. Conducted by Koen Schoots, the production will feature special guest vocalists alongside the orchestra and choir, adding further dimensions to a show conceived specifically for this setting.
More than a conventional metal concert, Ancient Whispers brings together two very different worlds: the ancient heritage of Plovdiv and the contemporary sound of one of Greece’s most internationally recognized extreme metal acts.
On September 19, the Ancient Theatre will provide the stage.
Septicflesh will provide the darkness.
