In recent years, there has been a lot of talk about Romania and the festival that takes place in Brasov, specifically in the Carpathian forests, in the Transylvania region below the fortress of Rasnov.
It sounds creepy and scary, but it is the best location and the most ideal place to combine music and your vacation, that is, to feel to the fullest what is called Concert Tourism.
Rockstadt Extreme Fest was born in 2013 and is the most important festival in Eastern Europe combining all kinds of hard sound. So the inaugural year in 2013 with 1 stage and 25 names in 3 days but the very next year, in 2014, the stages became 2, the days 4 and the bands almost doubled to 47 to 50 which continued until 2019. This was also the kick for the strong continuation of the organization and its consolidation internationally as a station for the European agency tours.
The time of Covid-19 could not help but affect the Rockstadt Extreme Fest as the whole world was put on ice and no event could be held. So in 2020 and 2021, everything was left unclaimed, creating a bottomless thirst for post-covid events around the world.
In 2022, the breakout translated into 5 more days and 47 bands on stage, picking up Rockstadt Extreme Fest right where it left off. The revelation came in 2023 as the big step was taken for the consolidation of the 3rd stage, growing the festival even more.
The days remained at 5 and the number of bands reached 66 variously covering all tastes of hard sound. 2024 finds the organization looking to raise the bar even further from 2023. 6 days, 3 stages, over 100 bands and the party keeps going well for all the fans that the organization constantly wins.
Fast forward to today and 2025. Rockstadt Extreme Fest is now a well-rounded event that aims to provide the most complete entertainment for hardcore fans. With the 3 stages it already has and the 5-day event they have announced with 80+ bands, it is now considered one of the most emblematic festivals in Eastern Europe.
It has camping for those who want to camp, souvenir and merchandise shops for those who want to shop and bars and restaurants for those who want to be full and quench their thirst.
It attracts people from all over the world and is a celebration of music not only for hard sound fans but also for fans of concert tourism.
